Segment Interview - Joe Trohman, Brian Posehn, Scott Koblish (The Axe #1 out March 23rd) Interview Friday 6 pm EST

  1. What’s your relationship like with Heavy Metal Magazine?
  2. What is the collaboration process like between you three?
  3. Without getting too heavy into spoilers, we see some wild creature designs in this book. How detailed are the creatures in the script versus the weirdness we see on the page?
  4. We get to see the main characters jam a lot in the first issue. What do you picture the characters’ band sounding like? And do any of you crank up any specific tunes while you work? Do you recommend any tracks fans should play while they read?
  5. Some of the segments with the bully felt so real. How much of these feelings of being an outsider pull from real life experience?
  6. We know the kids must fight off hideous ancient creatures while trying to get back to Earth from Sheol. Can you tease, or tease how these kids could possibly be powerful enough to fight demons?
  7. The press release invokes “Army of Darkness” and “The Goonies,” what were some seminal movies for you guys growing up that might have inspired this series?
  8. Joe, you’ve got FOB and various other musical projects, Brian you’ve recorded multiple metal tracks of your own, so the real question is, when can we expect Scott Koblish to lay down some music?
  9. It’s early yet, but any updates on The Axe screen adaptation?
  10. Are there any other projects you’re working on right now you’d like to plug?
  11. THE SECRET HISTORY OF THE WAR ON WEED by Gerry Duggan, Brian Posehn & Scott Koblish out April 20, 2022
